The 2013 Bearback surf contest took place on February 2nd in Hermosa Beach. Participants charged cold, knee to waist high surf wearing nothing more than trunks (sometimes less). Surfers include: Cheyne Magnusson, Greg Browning, Jimmy Young,Scott Smith, Chio Baldocci, Mike Siordia, Kevin Cody and others. Cheyne walked away with the cup!
Manhattan Beach host an annual evening of fireworks, music and games for the holidays. The Travel Channel has named Manhattan Beach’s holiday fireworks celebration one of the top two holiday festivals in the nation. Sunday evening featured two separate fireworks shows: the first at 7 p.m., marking the city’s 24th Annual Holiday Fireworks; and the second at 8:30 p.m., a special Centennial Fireworks show sponsored by Skechers.
