Mira Costa High School Measure BB Construction Ribbon Cutting

Mira Costa High School, one of the leading high schools in the State of California, is one of the “Top 100 Math and Science High Schools in the United States” and has a long tradition of academic and athletic excellence.  However, until recently, many of the facilities had not been improved or modernized since the school was established in the early 1950’s.  Now, Phase I, II, and III, funded by a public bond campaign approved by the citizens of Manhattan Beach in 2008, are complete. Renovations included a new Math and Science building; a new 300-seat multi-purpose room, a new band/orchestra facility, 44 completely renovated classrooms, a new satellite cafeteria, and a new collegiate central outdoor gathering place for the students of Mira Costa High School that completely transforms the campus.

On Tuesday, March 31, 2015 the Manhattan Beach Unified School District hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony in the Mira Costa HS multipurpose room.
