It’s was good timing for the South Bay Boardriders / Jacks Showdown contest.  Most of the swells to hit the South Bay have come with poor shape.  Everything came together for this contest.  The prior two contest have been cancelled due to either big stormy surf or no waves at all.  The morning gave us the best conditions, head hight plus surf with good condition.  The free surf session just north of the contest put on the best show.  Jamie Meistrell, Rich Silva, Parker Baker and others were making the best of it.  The photos in the video are from both the free surf session and the contest. The contest took place Saturday, February 7th at 26th street in Manhattan Beach.
