Can a Kite Surfer tow a Foil Boarder?

We thought we had heard it all until our friend Bo Bridges called us on a windy afternoon telling us that he was going to attempt to attach himself to his friend John Sedberry, a seasoned kite surfer, and have John tow him on his foil board. We’re always up for a good time so we met them in Manhattan Beach. Bo had to paddle that foil out in less than ideal conditions but he managed to make it out and, after a few crazy attempts, actually managed to not only get up behind the kite surfer but also get the foil to lift out of the water. It was a learning experience and Bo said he took lots of notes and will be better prepared next time. As for us, we are believers. It may not be what everyone wants to see out in the line up but it’s definitely doable. This video is made possible through the support of Manhattan Beach Toyota.
