The Wedge, Biggest Waves I’ve seen there. I shot both Saturday July 4th and Sunday July 5th. I watched the surf reports for a couple weeks, saw the swell but wasn’t expecting this! I woke up way too early on Saturday July 4th to chase this swell hoping that it would at least bring overhead plus waves. The 4:30am alarm was worth it. Surfers include: Jamie O’Brien, Blair Conklin, Brad Domke, Kenny Kuypers, Tyler Thornsley and others. I’ve chased plenty of waves at the Wedge in Newport Beach but gotta admit, this swell brought some of the largest waves that I’ve seen there.
