The South Bay had a few weeks of consistent, fun surf. Alex Gray, Tyler, Chris Wells, Josh Gilberts and others were on it. The NW swell brought plenty of waves throughout the South Bay including El Porto.
March 18th brought a nice suprise of barrels to the South Bay. Not many offered exits but it was still a fun morning. Surfers featured include: Jalian Johnston, Chris Del Moro, Chris Wells, Josh Gilberts, Marc Jimenez and others.
A long awaited surf swell hit the South Bay area of Los Angeles at the beginning of March bringing us some of the biggest surf seen in years. Alex Gray, Timmy Reyes, Conor Beatty, Chris Wells, Marcelo Malinco, Greg Browning, Matt Walls, Natalie Anzivino and others were out charging.
An overhyped swell hit the South Bay late January bringing us head high plus waves. Most spots were walled and closed up but a few good ones came through. Surfers include: Alex Gray, Tyler Hatzikian, Marcelo Malinco, Rich Silva, Tracey Meistrell, Chris Frohoff, Chris Wells, Josh Gilberts, Michael Luhrsen and others. Hopefully this swell brought some sand bars for the upcoming swell.

With the goal of decreasing childhood obesity, Beach Cities Health District launched its “Walking School Bus” (WSB) program on Oct. 9 in elementary schools throughout Redondo, Hermosa and Manhattan Beach. More than 700 elementary-aged children from 14 area schools are expected to participate in the walk-to-school initiative, which is launching for the third straight year on International Walk to School Day.
