The 2016 Earth Day Celebration was held Saturday April 30th, 2016 at Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach.
The Manhattan Beach celebration included food – eco-friendly shopping and organizations – fun for all ages eco-quiz with great prizes – music & dancing.

The Manhattan Beach concerts in the park series is an annual, summer long event held each year at Polliwog Park which runs from July through the first weekend in September.
Sunday, July 5th concert featured “Hot Summer Nights”, a Neil Diamond tribute band. Since Hot Summer Night’s first performance in 1998, the band has performed at fairs, concerts, fundraisers, and other special events all over the United States, Japan, Canada and England.

The City of Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation Department, together with the Manhattan Beach City Council, honored and thanked the military service and sacrifice of the South Bay men and women in uniform and their families who have served their country on Sunday, June 25th at Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach. The event included performances by the Mira Costa High School Jazz Band, Dennis McNeil and the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band (Miramar). The first 1,000 veterans and current members of the military received a Salute to the Troops Challenge coin.

Encompassing 18 acres, this is the largest park in the South Bay area. The park has 2 play areas for the kids, a 9 hole disc golf course, a dog run, 3 gazebos, botanical gardens and a large pond. This Manhattan Beach park is the largest in the South Bay.
The Manhattan Beach 100 year centennial parade took place May 19th, 2012. The parade route went up (east) on Manhattan Beach Blvd and ended at Polliwog Park. The parade included local clubs, organizations, politicians, historic figures and more. People lined Manhattan Beach Blvd to cheer on the parade. A park wide picnic followed the parade.
VOICE (Volunteers & Organizations Improving the Communitys Environment) and the City of Manhattan Beach hosted the annual Earth Day Celebration and Concert on Saturday April 17th at Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach. The event included vendors, food trucks, games, bands, presentations and more.
