It’s not often that we get ideal conditions to surf in the late afternoon here in the South Bay.  The wind always seems to start blowing around noon and chop the ocean out in the afternoon.  Mid February brought us the Santa Ana winds that help keep the ocean calm, and the incredible sunsets helped make the sessions special.  By mid afternoon on February 11th I could tell that the Santa Ana’s would cooperate so I started making calls to see who would be available for a late afternoon session.  Matt Pagan and Noah Collins were in and as luck would have it, Ty Cukr and Paul Fisher were in town too.  The photos below are all from that session on February 11th at El Porto in Manhattan Beach.
