The Manhattan Beach Centennial Committee hosted the “Taste of Manhattan Beach” Sunday, March 25, 2012 in downtown Manhattan Beach. The centennial event featured; Cuisine from local restaurants, Beer and wine tasting, Live music and entertainment, a Centennial K-12 Art Contest and was highlighted with a cooking demonstration from celebrity chefs Brian Malarkey and Devin Alexander . A little rain could not hold down the guest from enjoying the food, drinks, music and food presentations.
A short film by Mike Pagan. A group of South Bay surfers, including Matt Pagan, Chris Wells, Jalian Johnston, Angelo Luhrsen, Conor Beatty and Noah Collins, take a short trip north in search of waves. The central coast offers beautiful landscapes as well as good waves.

Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden is a non-profit public education organization dedicated to promoting Earth-friendly gardening techniques, encouraging the use of drought-tolerant plants including California natives, and conserving our natural resources.

The 5th annual bearback classic took place Sat. Feb. 4th, 2012 in Hermosa Beach. Contestants surf with no wetsuites on, bareback. Competitors included; Cheyne Magnusson, Justin Quirk, Greg Browning, Conor Beatty, Chio Baldocchi, Matt Walls, Scott Daley, Jimmy Young and others. Cheyne Magnusson took home first place.
In celebration of it’s Centennial, the Manhattan Beach Centennial Foundation held a carnival extravaganza at the Manhattan Beach Village Mall to celebrate the City’s 100th Birthday! The carnival included face painting, caricature artist, strolling juggler, stilt walker, costume characters, balloon twister, art workshop, and much, much more.

Jim is no longer with us on this earth, but we know he is riding waves, getting barreled and sharing with others his love of surfing.
Our Goal at Campsurf is to make surfing accessible, fun, and safe for people of all ages with the desire to ride waves.
The 2011 White Light White Night event took place Saturday, July 16th in Redondo Beach. The 5th Annual Walk With Sally fundraiser was headlined by a musical performance from the Blues Travelers and featured food from local restaurants, drinks and auction items. The annual fundraising event is a night of food, drinks, music and fashion.
