After 9 years of planning, the City of El Segundo now has flushing toilets for beach goers. Sparked by former El Segundo City Councilman Jim Boulgarides, the restroom/shower/lifeguard tower has been completed with the assistance of Chevron, Don Knabe, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Southern California Edison, and NRG Energy. The long awaited project was official opened on Wednesday with an official ribbon cutting.
